ABOUT ME:
I am a licensed psychologist practicing in Hillsborough and Pasco counties, in Florida. I have a sub-specialty in sex offender treatment, including working with victims and affected family members. I also work with adolescents and people with other general problems. I also complete evaluations for the courts.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: I like to help people become their best defense against the problems they seek services for. I work from a cognitive-behavioral framework, where change results from altering the way one thinks. How one feels is also an important tool guiding our behavior, and part of changing our behavior involves paying attention to our emotions and our instincts. I also believe that humor is incredibly powerful, and an important part of the therapeutic process. I am honest and reactive and hope my clients will be as well, or learn to be. I believe that therapy shouold be the one place where a person can reveal anything, no matter how dark or painful, and feel safe doing so.
