ABOUT ME:
I recieved my BA in Aplied Sociology from Southwest Texas State University and my MA from Western Seminary in 2000. I completed my 3000 hours post graduate work at a State Licensed Mental Health Agency and became a licensed practitione in the state of Washington in the Fall of 2003. My exmployement experience prior to my graduate studies included 10 years of experience adn work in seveal kinds of social service agencies. These included impatient psychiatric treatment centers, outrach programs for state schools, undergrad internships opportunity at a women's center and shelter adn case management experience for a residential treatment program.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: Working within the framework of psychodynamic and existneial theories, I veiw the counseling process as forming an alliance with you to explore the nature of your struggles. This alliance is strengthened through developing and experiencing a trusting and emotionally safe relationship. In the context of this relationship, we will explore and increase your awareness of self thu insight, identify patterns and styles of relating. Styles of relating are ways in which you operate within relationships, as a result of your core belief systems which has been developed thoughout your life experiences. We will explore adn challenge the belief system and styles of relating that hinder you fromrecieving the life adn joy that can be found adn experienced in relationship with God, yourself adn others.
