ABOUT ME: After a decade of working in marketing, advertising and human resources, I decided to return to school and pursue my interest in working with people and their relationships.
I opened SouthShore Couples & Family Counseling Center with one overall goal, to help people feel more empowered to create the kind of lives and relationships they truly want for themselves and their families.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION:My approach is warm, active, and empathic. I believe that creating a non-judgmental atmosphere of safety and understanding is critical to success in therapy. But I will certainly challenge you. My clients count on me to provide an honest appraisal of their behavior and to offer sensible, realistic guidance.
At your first visit, we will create a safe environment where you feel validated and supported. I use behavioral techniques when needed to help you address subconscious habits and practices that may be barriers to change. I listen carefully and offer conseructive feedback, helping you to make positive life-enhancing changes.
I provide a secure and encouraging atmosphere (and even humor, when appropriate). Therapy is a process of getting to know oneself and experiencing new journeys. I welcome the opportunity to accompany and guide you on your passage to your new awareness of self.

HEALTH PLAN PARTICIPATION: We have intentionally chosen not to become a part of insurance panels because we do not want these companies to dictate the kind of therapy provided by SouthShore Couples & Family Counseling Center or to set limits on the amount nf time we work with a client!
PAYMENTS: We accept cash or checks.
CANCELLATIONS: Policy is 48 hours notice.
