ABOUT ME:
There are many pathways to a happier and more fulfilling life. Deciding to change, taking the risk to meet a new therapist, isn't easy. In 35 years as a psychotherapist, I have found that with work and skilled support, clients can reach goals, change, improve and develop their solutions to their issues. Although you may feel blocked, our work together will help you find the path to a happier life that is right for you.
I see teenagers and adults. I have worked in many settings to address school issues and develop school success, improve parenting skills, relationship issues, job concerns, communication problems, and marital/family issues. Having been a hospice social worker, I am experienced with chronic illness, loss and death.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: My approach is primarily cognitive behavioral and results oriented, but eclectic in order to meet each person's needs. Stress management is often a first step, and I teach relaxation, breathing techniques, visualization as well as using biofeedback. "
