ABOUT ME:
I have been in private practice since 1996.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: I help people who feel overwhelmed with the circumstances in their lives and need relief.
There are a myriad of ways people try to cope with stress and feelings of overwhelm …many of them are healthy and very helpful, but many are not: alcohol, food, anger, crying, deep sadness, fearfulness or isolating from friends and family are just a sampling.
Therapy can and does help.
I specialize in working with Anxiety Disorders, particularly Panic Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD); and Depression. In addition, I have specialized training in the area of Eating Disorders, Bereavement/Death and Dying, as well as with seniors and the emotional issues that seniors, in particular, face. For those seeking a biblically-based approach to life's problems, I also provide Christian counseling, if requested.
