ABOUT ME:
I have been a licensed social worker 19 years and in private practice 8 years. I work with children as young a 2 1/2 years old and am known as an expert in therapy with children and adolescents in my community, but I also work with adults on a wide variety of issues.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: I believe that it is very important for a client to feel comfortable with the therapist and the client should direct the therapist in what the goals are. I do, however, frequently introduce skills and resources to clients, using therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavior therapy that are proven to teach skills that relieve anxiety and depression. With young children, I use play therapy.
