ABOUT ME:
I became a licensed psychologist after teaching at Vassar College for five years. My initial therapeutic training was in Transactional Analysis and Gestalt Therapy.
Over the past 30 years I have had additional training in hypnosis, psychosynthesis, bioenergetics, dream analysis, rational-emotive therapy, Imago Relationship Therapy, and EMDR.
For the past 17 years I have worked in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. with the Samaritan Counseling Centers of So. Fl. until 2003, and since then in private offices in Wilton Manors, shared with my husband of 25 years, Benjamin B. Conley, M.Div., LMFT.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: The achievement of your therapeutic goals as directly, quickly, and painlessly as possible is my focus and commitment.
We will use a variety of methods that have worked with others in my 30 years of experience helping people.
In an environment of acceptance, emotional understanding, and information, you can become a knowledgeable participant in your healing journey. We develop a partnership that builds on your personal strengths to help you deal with whatever is painful or problematic to you.
To address your specific needs you can expect me to draw on a variety of tools from my training and experience, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, EMDR, Transactional Analysis, Imago Relationship Therapy, and so on.
Whatever your cultural background or sexual orientation, I welcome you into my office. I work with individuals and couples from ages 18 on, including seniors.
