ABOUT ME:
My name is Randy Carrin, Psy.D. I tailor my psychological treatment to the particular needs of my patients, and to specific therapeutic aims. I specialize in a cognitive-behavioral approach to successfully treat a multitude of psychological problems. Among these are anxiety and stress-related disorders; depressive disorders; chronic illness; post-traumatic stress; relationship difficulties; grief, loss and bereavement; sexual difficulties; adoption-related issues; and the emotional upheaval associated with infertility. I generally treat adults and couples. Prior to establishing a practice in Waterbury, I worked elsewhere in Connecticut, and have also spent several years working and living abroad.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: I tend to be genuine, open, and direct. Utilizing an empathic stance, I believe that compassion, respect, and humor often contributes to the therapeutic alliance. I combine a therapeutic approach with an educational one, focusing more on the "here and now".

CANCELLATIONS:
Patients are expected to keep their scheduled appointments. With the exception of emergency situations, payment shall be made if a minimum of 24 hours notification is not given regarding a cancellation
