ABOUT ME:
My areas of expertise include depression and anxiety, couples and family therapy, relationship and intimacy issues, addictions and recovery, stress and anger management, work-related and life-transition issues, chronic illness, disability and health concerns. My offices are in the Hotel Circle/ Mission Valley area in San Diego and in Poway, near Pomerado Hospital.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: My clinical focus is on health, well-being, growth and healing, as well as problem or disease prevention, rather than on a "mental illness" orientation.
My approach is generally cognitive-behavioral, directive and solution-focused. My approach is also informed by a "Person-Centered" orientation. Empathy is essential; my clients are the primary experts concerning their goals, values and needs. I make frequent referrals to services and resources that my clients may need.
