Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
  ABOUT ME:
As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC), I offer Individual, Group, some Couples, and when needed, Family Counseling. I've had the opportunity to work with adults, children and adolescents who have experienced emotional, psychological and behavioral problems such as depression, anxiety, alcohol and drug abuse, sexual and gender identity issues, sexual orientation, adjustment, stress, grief and loss. I've worked with the special needs of the GLBTQ community, formerly incarcerated, homeless, unemployed, developmentally delayed, and those who have experienced career changes, school problems, and other major life challenges and transitions.

STYLE IN THE THERAPY SESSION: I believe the therapy relationship is a collaborative relationship guided by the goals of the individual and the profession.

Through our hard work, open and honest communication, there can be personal growth and development. To do this, we must both take the responsibility to establish goals and objectives for personal and behavior change, assess strengths and weaknesses, meet on a regular basis, try new things and assess our progress.

During our therapy sessions, it is very important to build on current skills and also to address weakness. I will at times, encourage you to step out of your comfort zone. I do this so that you can gain skills and experiences in areas that are less established or needs improvement. I ask you to have confidence in your abilities, skills and judgment during this time.
