ABOUT ME:
Michelle Ward is a Virginia State Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). She is a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. Michelle received her M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Virginia Tech University. She provides outpatient therapy to individuals, couples, and families, using various systemic and expressive therapy interventions to treat children with behavior/anger management/anxiety problems, couples with relationship issues, and families seeking help with communication and conflict problems and with issues around divorce.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: My practice is dedicated to providing clients a supportive yet interactive environment to improve themselves and their relationships with others. My training as a marriage and family therapist helps my family, couple, and individual clients understand how their environment affects their individual world, and vice versa. Most importantly, I strive to provide clients with a trusting and confidential relationship, where they can safely explore difficult life challenges and make positive changes in their lives.
