ABOUT ME:
I'm a Licensed Marriage Family therapist in private practice, and I teach psychology at a local college. I provide long-term therapy for issues of: trauma, anxiety, sexual abuse, depression, relationships, panic attacks, abandonment, self-esteem, chronic pain made worse by stress, grief and loss, and painful childhoods.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: I provide a warm, honest, and compassionate place for you to begin your healing. Together we look at how your past experiences are affecting your current thoughts, beliefs, feelings, and responses-- with the intent of better self understanding and change. Our work is about understanding the meanings you have made of your life, and how you might be making unconscious choices based on these beliefs. Our goal is for you to feel more peaceful and comfortable with who you are inside--and make better choices in your life and relationships. I also offer specific skills for emotion tolerance, self-awareness, and communication.
Therapy with me is a long-term commitment to your wellbeing, happiness, and personal growth.
