ABOUT ME:
Life-long curiosity and a thirst for knowledge led to careers in education, banking, medicine, and corporate sales before pursuing my MEd/EdS degrees in marriage & family therapy and mental health counseling at the University of Florida. After completing degree work, I continued my training in an intensive two-year COAMFTE accredited post-graduate program in couple and family therapy.
Interest in the mind-body connection led me to obtain additional training in EMDR,and energy psychology or "energy-based" therapies such as EFT, Thought Field Therapy, and NeuroEmotional Technique designed to release "stuck" beliefs and feelings.
My committment to clients is to create safe space for healing and growth in the counseling experience by collaborating with them to identify their unique needs and goals. I work with individuals, couples, and families on a wide variety of issues, including, but not limited to, all types of abuse and violence, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, gender and LGBT issues,

IN THE THERAPY SESSION: My work with clients is collaborative and focuses on exploring their life contexts while identifying and highlighting the clients' strengths and resources. I am committed to creating safe spaces for healing and growth for my clients in the counseling experience by collaborating with them to identify their unique needs and goals. My goal is to join with you as you identify, clarify, and work towards your own growth-oriented, healing goals. My hope is that you feel more empowered to create a life full of meaning, purpose, and healthy relationships with yourself and others.
