ABOUT ME:
Originally from Ohio. While having now lived in Ann Arbor for 20 years, I will continue to be a Buckeye, Browns, and Indians fan.
Started as a therapist via working in an experiential outdoor rec program for youth-at-risk. I continue to work in the field of experiential education as a Facilitator at the University of Michigan Challenge Program
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: My style includes that of being up-front and challenging. I focus my clients on what they can change, versus how they want others to change. I help them understand and work through the fears that stand in their way of change
I believe people learn behaviors and beliefs in their past, beliefs and behaviors that may now be problematic. I guide people to distinguish past circumstances from those of the present.
I do not tell my clients what to do, or not do; nor, do I give much advice. I work with my clients in such a way that they define their choices and options.
