ABOUT ME:
I have twenty-six years licensed experience working with individuals and couples.
Most recently, my focus and training have been on
1) individual relationship counseling and conjoint couples counseling, including issues of improved communication,
fair fighting,
unequal/inhibited sexual desire,
abuse history affecting intimacy
and separation decisions; and
2) childhood history of abuse (intermittent/chronic/severe),
and PTSD, including single incidents to severe dissociative processes.
Other focuses of my work include depression,
eating disorders/bingeing,
chronic illness (especially CFIDS and diabetes),
problems with sex/sexuality,
and growth work.
I work one day a week at John Muir Medical Center in Concord, CA. in the Diabetes Center. I am one of the Stress Counselors there, working with pregnant women who have Gestational Diabetes and I also teach a class, The Psychosocial Aspects of Diabetes" to people diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: I make every effort to follow the client where he/she is going. I do not impose my own structure or direction unless it is an agreed-upon structure or direction.
I use cognitive/behavioral therapy, EMDR, sandtray, expressive arts and focus on feelings.

Couples Therapy $100-$140

CANCELLATIONS:
24 hour notice to cancel or session will be charged at the usual rate.
