ABOUT ME:
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice. I specialize in working with people who suffer from depression, suicidality, trauma, grief and anxiety. I work well with people who consider themselves to be sensitive or easily “overwhelmed” by life. I am highly attuned to feelings of shame, worthlessness, grief and depression. I also enjoy working with adolescents who have a hard time “finding themselves”.
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and my Master of Sciences from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. I am fluent in Spanish and do have availability for Spanish-speaking clients.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: I work with clients psychodynamically with an emphasis on collaboration with and empowerment of the client. I view therapy as a journey toward healing and wholeness, a struggle to accept one’s self as a unique creature of God, and a vehicle leading to the understanding of one’s needs and desires as innate gifts rather than “weaknesses”. I have been told that I have an empathic, calming and empowering way of being as a therapist.

I will bill any PPO insurance plan for my clients.

I accept personal checks and cash for payment of sessions. I also accept insurance payments from PPO insurance plans.

CANCELLATIONS:
I charge for cancellations that are made within less than 24 hrs. of a scheduled appointment.
