ABOUT ME:
Emilian Mihaila, Ph.D.
is a New York State Licensed Psychologist. He received his doctorate degree from the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology in Palo Alto, California, and is currently Clinical Instructor of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He also holds a Certificate in Neuropsychological Assessment from the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology with training at the Palo Alto Veteran’s Administration and Stanford University.
Dr. Mihaila knows that accurate diagnosis and treatment can make a positive difference in a person’s life and that early diagnosis of head injury and disorders of memory and learning is very important for eventual recovery.

STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: Evaluation Services
Professional evaluations to examine: emotional status, memory, intellectual functioning or learning abilities, among others.
Psychological Evaluations involve diagnostic interviews and questionnaires or other tests to identify areas of emotional or intellectual functioning that may hinder personal growth, school achievement, or even employment. Formal tests of intelligence may be used to evaluate overall intellectual functioning.
Neuropsychological Evaluations involve specialized techniques to examine areas of memory, learning, attention, and concentration. Evaluations help identify areas of ability and deficit related to brain functioning that may be associated with head injury, disease, disorders accompanying aging, or learning disabilities. Evaluations are available for adolescents, adults, and the elderly. Test results may be shared with a client’s legal or medical personnel at the discretion of the client to assist in further treatment or placement.
