Learning to cope with depression, anxiety, bereavement, and chronic health issues is a process that is nurturned by the calming presence of a caring counselor. Talking over your concerns with a trained and experienced counselor promotes the development of coping skills.
In addition to mental health issues, I treat cancer survivors, chronic illness issues, and adult children of addictive and abusive parents. I have specialized training in the issues faced by cancer patients and those with chronic illness.

IN THE THERAPY SESSION:I subscribe to a person-centered approach with an emphasis on the client as self-directed and growth oriented if provided with a nurturing counseling experience. The role of the counselor includes empathy, acceptance, and personal regard for the client.
