ABOUT ME: 28 years in practice has provided the experience and exposure to deal effectively with the variety of problems facing us today. I began as a child psyhcologist and quickly learned that parents and their couple is the core. I then built tools to help the couple learn about connecting with eachother. My practice offers services to address individual as well as couple and family matters. I have developed strategies to address individual issues such as depression, anxiety disorders, panic, ocd, and trauma. I also address couple issues, child, adolescent and family matters extensively in my practice. Very often areas that an individual has trouble with occurs within his or her couple. It is often said that dealing with the couple is where the rubber meets the road in individual therapy.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION:I am very active and direct in my approach to problems. I believe in getting quickly to the source of issues and working them through. Coaching, Teaching, encouraging practice of new tools, and understanding ourselves psychologically are essential methods in my practice. Change is never easy and it is always natural to return to old habits. Changing these old habits and making that change last over time is what I work towards.
