ABOUT ME:
I specialize in helping people with difficulties in their intimate or family relationships. This includes couples concerned about conflict, distance, poor communication, or who feel lonely even when with their partner. I also help parents who are concerned about their children's behavior, disrespect, poor academic performance, apathy, or lack of friends. It is possible to have healthy sustaining relationships and a harmonious family. You can feel the connection you want with your partner and go forward in life feeling like a team. You can be instrumental in improving your children's happiness and helping them in their development.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: I seek to help people understand the patterns and feelings that contribute to their difficulties and to develop skills and practices to resolve those difficulties and create satisfying relationships. I am actively engaged in the session and find that therapy is most effective when participants actively practice new skills and behaviors outside of the session.

I have a bachelors degree from Anderson College in Indiana and a MA and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston. I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Illinois and have been helping couples and families for nearly twenty years.
