ABOUT ME:
I was a family doctor for 25 years who enjoyed caring for the psychological problems and family issues in my family practice. I was particularly interested in those who had been badly damaged in early childhood by a mutlitude of abuses and neglect and felt the medical syatem was not addressing this large group in a way that was effective. Hence I indulged myself, studied psychotherapy from a variety of sources and when I moved from Toronto to the Collingwood/Creemore area began practicing as a psychotherapist fulltime in 1997. I have found this to be a creative, enjoyable and fruitful endeavor.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: Client centered, collaborative, use of parts work both as Gestalt and in the use of an internal working space (conference room like George Fraser), guided imagery and self-soothing techniques
