ABOUT ME:
The field of psychology is changing from what used to be a focus on what is wrong with people and how to fix it, to identifying one's strengths and building on those.
There is so much new research that reveals how we can increase our happiness, resiliency, and health. We can change our habits of thinking and emotional reactivity in ways that actually rewire the brain for happiness. I enjoy showing people how to do this.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: Each client is treated as a unique individual. Therapy can be brief or longer depending on the person and their needs. After twenty years of working in psychology, I incorporate different methods for helping people reach their goals and improved quality of life.
Initially, the first step is for me to understand you and your situation. With compassion, warmth, and candor, we discuss the direction for treatment. Our minds are powerful; we can transform our selves and our lives once we decide to direct our energy accordingly
