ABOUT ME:
I am a graduate of Christian Theological Seminary in an accredited Marriage & Family Therapy program. As part of the theological aspect of my training I was exposed to the belief systems of many religions around the world. Therefore, I am comfortable discussing spiritual issues. I have counseled singles, couples, families, gays and lesbians, and strait spouses of gays and lesbians. I have also facilitated divorce recovery groups as well as grief and loss groups. I have experience in Play Therapy techniques and occasionally see a child or adolescent though this is not the focus of my practice.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: My office is located in Broadripple Village and has a very peacefull atmosphere. I try to make everyone feel relaxed and comfortable with soft seating, soft lighting, a tabletop fountain and a candle. My style of therapy is to listen to you to determine the issues that are causing problems for you. I do offer constructive tools for you to use and may give an assignment, though not regularly. I also interject humor when it feels appropriate and I may shed a tear with you if that is what I'm experiencing!
