I began my professional work in the area of adolescent prevention/intervention, with an expanded role into the area of intimate partner violence in February of 2003. I presently maintain certifications in the assessment and facilitation of the Duluth Model of Power & Control adopted by the State of Florida. In June of 2004, I entered into the field of sexual offender counseling, gaining certification through Ohio University Sexual Offender Treatment Certification. I continue this work, and I am professionally affiliated with the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers since May 2005. In addition, I have provided psycho education and adaptive coping skills development with both men and women in addressing personal acts of anger and substance abuse, while working with socially maladaptive youth for numerous reasons. In addition, I have embarked on therapeutic work with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, and I am currently developing a therapeutic approach for the management of chronic pain conditions.
