ABOUT ME:
I specialize in the evaluation and treatment of mental health disorders affecting children and adolescents and have extensive experience helping children and teens struggling with school-related problems including Learning Disabilities and problems with socialization. I most frequently treat clients who suffer from Depression, Bipolar Mood Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, and/or AD/HD. I also have experience working with youths with Pervasive Developmental Disorders, such as Autism and Asperger's Syndrome.Certain disorders respond better to certain treatment techniques; thus, depending on the disorder and the individual needs of the client(s), I utilize psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and family therapies.I promote and encourage family involvement in a child's treatment whether or not the primary mode of treatment is family counseling. Thus, in addition to family counseling, I offer consultation, education, and supportive services to parents, guardians, etc.
