ABOUT ME:
A marriage counselor and psychotherapist, Benjamin B. Conley is a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, a certified Imago Relationship Therapist, a level II EMDR therapist, an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church, and a Diplomate with the American Association of Pastoral Counselors.
In addition to The Spiritual Connection: Values, Faith, and Psychotherapy, he has written The Meaning of Love, Affirming Feelings, Making Relationships Work, and Success in Marriage. Licensed in Florida as a Marriage and Family Therapist, he has had additional training in TA/Gestalt therapy, hypnotherapy, sex therapy, with extensive experience teaching and supervising individual and group psychotherapists, marriage and family therapists, clergy, and other mental health professionals.

IN THE THERAPY SESSION: My focus is on helping achieve your therapeutic goals as directly as possible, in as little time as possible, using a variety of methods. By providing an environment of acceptance and emotional understanding, you become a knowledgeable participant in your therapeutic journey. Issues such as isolation, interpersonal conflict, power struggles in relationships, self esteem, depression, and anxiety can all be addressed by building on your personal strength and your own inner wisdom.
I will work with you as an individual, couple, family, or business. You can expect that I will draw on a variety of tools, including EMDR work for trauma, phobias, panic disorders, and depression, Imago Relationship Therapy with couples and families, and various other ways drawn from psychoanalytic therapy, rational-emotive therapy, Transactional Analysis/gestalt therapy, psychosynthesis, bioenergetics, sex therapy, hypnosis, and so on.
