ABOUT ME: As a psychologist, I am trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy, which is an effective technique for reducing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other issues. I view psychotherapy as a resource to help people who are feeling stuck in important life areas, such as work, school, and relationships. My job is to help people move toward becoming "unstuck." I specialize in helping clients who are depressed/anxious or who have been raped or sexually abused.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION:The relationship I share with clients is the cornerstone of successful therapy. Cogntiive-behavioral techniques are effective and supported by research, but I will spend the bulk of our time nurturing our relationship and fostering collaboration toward goals. I encourage everyone with whom I work to speak openly on how they feel about our work together. I will work with you to resolve issues and achieve goals. At the same time, I value a person's right to end therapy at any time, with dignity.
