ABOUT ME:
Since graduating from the University of South Florida, with her Master of Arts in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling, AnnMarie has worked successfully with clients in areas such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief/loss, stress management, anger management, aging, parenting issues, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.
As a clinician, her background includes working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. She has spent many years working for a partial hospitalization program providing intensive outpatient treatment to adult
patients with various mental illnesses.
AnnMarie's background also includes providing counseling to students at
the university level, providing in home therapy and parenting skills as
part of a family preservation program, and managing a school-based
counseling program.
She is now owner of AMS Counseling and Consultation, specializing in women's issues, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, stress management, and

IN THE THERAPY SESSION: AnnMarie will aid you in assessing your strengths and developing your
optimal potential. She will help you clarify your current problems and then discover ways to best cope with them. Finally, she will assist you in changing self-defeating thoughts and behaviors, which will result in making positive choices and changes.
Her approach to therapy is holistic, encompassing the thoughts, emotions, physical health, nutrition, and relationships of the individual. This is a journey into wellness. AnnMarie helps her clients tap into their emotions, manage their symptoms, develop goals, and build skills for coping and resolving personal struggles.
