ABOUT ME:
I have a background working with women and children who are coming out of physically or emotionally violent relationships. In the past, I have also worked as a sexual assault adovcate, assisting survivors in going to court, medical exams and providing therapy. Currently, I work in an inpatient drug and alcohol treatment center and have extensive background in mental health assessments and referrals.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: I tailor each theraputic approach to the unique needs of that client. I have worked with some victims of abuse who responded extreemly well to Gestalt therapy, or women with eating disorders who were responsive to Feminist therapy. I have used bibliotherapy and art therapy when appropriate. I do not limit myself to one style but keep an open mind to the best way to help my clients.
