ABOUT ME:
As an African American therapist, I have been in private practice for the past 4 years. I have experience working with individuals, couples and families dealing with life challenges related to work, school, and home. As a counselor in the community, I have well over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. With an advance degree from California State University Dominguez Hills and a license as a therapist, I am uniquely qualified to provide an environment that focuses on my clients needs as well as offer co-counseling to couples with my wife, also a licensed therapist.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: I specialize in working with couples that are challenged with relationship issues, pre-marital counseling and parenting concerns. I assist couples in their efforts to strengthen their relationship. To improve communication and problem solving abilities, I also work with couples in restoring trust and closeness in the relationship.
I also specialize in working with individuals and couples in the entertainment industry. Working with actors, athletics and musicians often times call for specialized sessions with appropriate accommodations. On location, at home and/or telephone counseling sessions can be arranged. Fees range from $500 to $1000 per session. The focus of counseling is often times geared toward the reduction of anxiety, problem solving strategies, building and strengthening relationships.
I work with young and older adolescents who are having problems at school and or home. I work with youth who are part of a blended family, who have been in foster care, and are in a single parent ho
