ABOUT ME:
Originally, I am from the Detroit area but I came to West Michigan for college, attending Kalamazoo College for my undergraduate degree in Biology and Western Michigan University for my Ph.D. in clinical psychology. In my private practice, I enjoy working with families and couples as well as individuals struggling with relationship issues, anxiety, depression and childhood issues. I am interested in the use of journaling to overcome one's problems. I have expertise in the area of treating post-traumatic stress disorder. I am a member of the American Psychological Association and the Michigan Psychological Association.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: I like to listen and get to know someone without imposing my opinions and values on them. I try to facilitate the process of self-exploration. I have training and expertise to assist someone in gaining a deeper understanding of one's situation and ways to overcome one's problems, but I believe that each individual knows him or herself best.

FEES PER SESSION:
$101 - $150

HEALTH PLAN PARTICIPATION:
I take most insurances including Blue Cross, magellan, aetna, blue choice, united healthcare, medicare and tricare.

PAYMENTS:
I bill insurance companies, but I like to collect co-payments and/or payments for sessions during each meeting. I am willing to work with individuals if there is financial need and set up a payment plan.

CANCELLATIONS:
I ask for notification 24 hours in advance of a missed or cancelled appointment or a charge will be applied. In special circumstances (emergencies) this fee may be waived.
