ABOUT ME:
Mike has been working with adults, children and adolescents for nearly 15 years as a psychotherapist. He has had extensive experience working with individuals and groups around the following issues:

With that in mind, Mike offers a reflective and engaging partnership with his clients, working toward the goal of helping them to be authentic and compassionate in a world that can be extremely stressful.
Although Mike’s work is solidly grounded in psychodynamic, cognitive/learning, and systems theories, his approach is client-centered, practical and strengths-based. He brings his honesty, warmth, and humor to the therapy relationship.

CREDENTIALS:
Mike received his B.A. from Connecticut College in 1991, and his M.S.W from Smith College School for Social Work in 1994. He has 15 years of experience counseling children, adolescents, adults and families. In addition to his private practice, Mike has worked in various settings, including public school, special education, hospice, outpatient, and technology settings. He currently is an adjunct faculty member of Boston College School for Social Work.
