ABOUT ME:
My relationship with Christ shapes my personhood and my profession. Utilizing God's Word, my training, background and my own personal journey in helping others, I work to create a safe place to encourage and empower my clients to experience their potential and God's plan for their lives.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: As a faith-based counselor, I pray for my clients, but we do not always pray in session. We utilize cognitive-behavioral approaches to critically evaluate beliefs and change behaviors. EMDR is used when appropriate for both relaxation/stress management and for specific issues. The style is informal and interactive.

FEES PER SESSION:
$60 to $100
|
HEALTH PLAN PARTICIPATION:
I am in-network with Medical Mutual and other smaller health plans. I am a registered out-of-network provider for Aetna, UnitedHealthCare, Cigna, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield and others.

PAYMENTS:
Accepts cash and check. I can usually offer a sliding fee scale for clients with no insurance or who need to meet a deductible before out-of-network insurance will pay for sessions.

CANCELLATIONS:
It is my policy to charge a 50% fee for missed appointments unless cancelled with a 24-hour notice.

CREDENTIALS:
Judy A. Lair, P.C. is a graduate of Ashland Theological Seminary with a M.A. in Clinical Counseling. She is licensed in Ohio as a Professional Counselor. Judy did her internship at WellSpring Counseling, a division of Youth for Christ, working with individual clients and facilitating group work including DivorceCare. She has experience in clinical assessment and diagnosis, making appropriate referrals, and formulating psychotherapy treatment plans and interventions.
