ABOUT ME:
I started in the field as an art psychotherapist, then developed my skills in guided imagery, became a hypnotherapist, became interested in working with the trauma population, learned EMDR and finally went back to school for my second masters degree, in clinical social work. It has been a steady process of growth and development, adding more and more to my 'bag of tricks', always with the one single goal in mind: to be of help to those who are yearning to experience inner peace in their lives.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: I present with a professional stance yet with a friendly, easy/relaxed manner, serious but with a twinkle in my eye. My initial approach is with a focus on safety. Then, as we look at current thoughts, feelings and behaviors, we might recognize how some events of the past may have impacted on the current behaviors. With this additional insight, you then find that you have better sense of control over your life. The theme of safety is continuously woven through the entire fabric of our work together.
