Garth has over 30 years of experience in working with families. He is a co-owner with his wife Margy Davis Mintun LCSW at Davis Mintun Professional Service Inc. At Davis Mintun Professional Services we believe in the following:

• We do not believe in problem saturated therapy and expert diagnosis. We believe you come to see us to broaden your existing skills and choices.

STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: Often when families and couples come in with an issue, both co-owners ( male and female psychotherapists) provide co-therapy to add richness and diversity to the therapy process. We ask questions and listen, we believe the client is the expert in their situation and we collaborate to help them "take a stand against the problem". Our style is informal, client centered and we do not try to be expert--we collaborate with you against the "problem".

Garth Mintun, LCSW, ACSW, MSW
Garth is a licensed clinical social worker. He received his Masters of Social Work from Kansas University in 1977. He has worked in a variety of health care, social service and mental health settings. He also founded and owned a geriatric care management service for 5 years and private psychotherapy practice in the 80’s. Garth has two years of Family Therapy training, was educated in Nuero Linguistic therapy and is in ongoing intensive training in Narrative Therapy. Garth is a co-owner of Davis Mintun Professional Service Inc. Garth also has a clinical specialty certification from the National Association of Social Workers to work on elder care issues (CSW-G)
