ABOUT ME:
I am a licensed psychologist practicing in the Denver area and I provide indvidual, couples, and family therapy. I strive to work with my clients to make the counseling experience successful and fulfilling, and take a strength-based approach which allows clients to figure out how they can use what is working to change what is not. Throughout my career I have aimed at erasing the mystery of counseling and believe it is something most people can benefit from. Therapy with me is one in which a client's dignity and autonomy are respected, maintained, and enhanced. The work I do is about helping clients find the skills, solutions, and support they're looking for in an efficient manner.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: My style in therapy is based on the relationship that I create with my clients, and I work hard to make them feel comfortable and feel that anything is o.k. to bring up in the counseling process. It is also one in which power is shared. While I help with any knowledge I have, I believe that people have a great deal of their own expertise that can be tapped to find solutions and growth. My job is to ensure my clients experience the change in the lives that they want and am eager to help them create and implement plans that helps them do this. I enjoy providing counseling and I think my enthusiasm, sense of humor, and ability to move my clients toward the change they want are indicators of this.
