ABOUT ME:
I am currently faculty at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and Argosy University/Dallas. I teach Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, but otherwise work weekdays, most evenings, and weekends in my private practice. My specialized training includes health psychology and behavioral medicine, although I also have a generalist psychology and counseling training background. I also treat anxiety and depression; and conduct psychodiagnostic testing.
STYLE
IN THE THERAPY SESSION: My style in therapy depends on the client's needs. I chose many of the options in the theoretical background section for this reason. Many clients have issues that require more humanistic approaches, while others a more behavioral approach. Part of builiding the therapeutic alliance is knowing what style works best for the client and at what time.

FEES PER SESSION:
$101 - $150

HEALTH PLAN PARTICIPATION:
I do not participate in any health insurance plans at this time. However, I am in the credentialing process presently. Most insurance companies will reimburse clients a certain percentage for my services as an out-of-network provider. I will file the necessary forms for you both now and when I finish the credentialing process.

PAYMENTS:
My hourly fee is $120/50 minutes. However, I do accept sliding scale payments at this time that I am willing to negotiate on case by case basis. I accept cash or checks. If a check bounces, I charge what the bank charges me, and then will no longer accept checks from that account.

CANCELLATIONS:
I reserve the right to charge the agrred upon and full amount for cancellations NOT given at least 24-hours prior to the scheduled appointment time.

CREDENTIALS:
I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Texas in good standing. My post-doctorate training was in a multidisciplinary pain managment center in Dallas, TX for two years. Before this training, I obtained my Ph.D. in Health Psychology/Behavioral Medicine from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX. Prior to this, I obtained an M. S. in Rehabilitation Counseling Psychology from UT-Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX.
