My approach to psychotherapy is "integrative" in the sense that I am familiar with and draw from a variety of empirically supported theories, depending on the needs of the client. I focus a good deal of attention on helping clients articulate and define what the problem is and how they would like things to change; I find that this approach is respectful and empowering, and facilitates the actual process of change.
