not as extensive as the origional ( carlotta71203 )
I have the original Our Bodies Ourselves from the 80's and it is much more extensive than this version. So I was a little disappointed, and i gave it to the library. The original was a great reference, this was missing a lot of subject material and in depth explanations that the first one had. So if you are looking for a replacement for the old one, save your money. If you don't care and just want a basic reference, go for it.

EXCELLENT Resource for Females of ALL AGES
I was delighted to find that "Our Bodies Ourselves" is being kept current. Fortunately for me I had a great Women and Health course taught by Cheryl Travis (check her research out too) at the Univ of TN back in the early 80's. It was undoubtedly one of the best classes I've ever been blessed to have and was taught by a very very great person -- Cheryl Travis. Amazon mistakenly sent me two books and charged me for the same. Our 16-year-old picked the book up and hasn't put it down since. I do believe the Tao is at work here as now she has her own personal copy to keep forever. I never thought I'd thank a business for making a mistake. Thank you Amazon. Our daughter will reap huge benefits from her own copy of this wonderful book.

An extraordinary title
This is a wonderful guide for all women, of all ages. It answers every possible question that we could have about our bodies, our phychology and every phase of our lives. I purchased 4 copies for me and my friends and I intend to buy some more... I am grateful to the writers for a newly discovered self esteem!

Thank you for writing this book! Every woman should own their own copy. Any home with adolescents should have it to read. This books covers being a woman from A-Z and it does so in a way that makes you feel proud.
