If you are a woman of a certain age, you probably grew up reading Glamour Magazine. If you are anything like me, one of the first things you turned to was the fabulous "Do's and Dont's" section. It both educated and entertained -- sometimes bordering on as big a laugh as provided by National Lampoon.

Glamour's Big Book of Do's and Dont's: Fashion Help for Every Woman is a great big, juicy collection of what we found so entetaining and educational! Some of the Dont's here are so obvious, that it's hard to imagine that anyone really wore them. Sadly, however, these blunders seem to be worn by those who would present themselves as style icons for their generation!

I would most definitely choose this book as a gift for any young lady beginning to form her own concept of individual style. For the more mature woman -- well, if you are still making blunders this horrendous you might need more help than this book can provide.

Glamour Magazine fans of ANY AGE should not miss Glamour's Big Book of Do's and Dont's: Fashion Help for Every Woman. I promise that there are many hours of infotainment here.

I bought this book to laugh and I did. Some of the pictures are wonderful, funny and all too real. But the funniest thing of all is that I did learn from this book as well. We all make fashion mistakes, sometimes without realizing it and sometimes from confusion. There is so much advice out there, thrown at you, it is easy to get lost. Nothing could be more to the point and clear then these pictures.
My only complaint with the book is the over reliance on celebrity pictures. I would have liked more real people. The *makeovers* they did using real people were excellent. More of that and less Cameron Diaz, please.

I got a kick out of it
i litterally got a kick out of this book because honestly, some girls are clueless about fashion and just clueless in general. This book is real and has tons of advice plus the pics are hilarious!

Recently, my sister and I have been getting into fashion and watching shows like "What Not to Wear". I never thought I would buy a book like this, but it was just too amusing to pass up. =) I normally enjoy Glamor Magazine's "Dos and Don'ts" section, so I was thrilled that they had an entire book dedicated to the subject, and some pretty helpful tips and advice. (To me, I have the most fun looking at the "Don'ts" because it makes me wonder what the hell some of these people were thinking of??!!) This book is for the times, but I feel that the advice they give is timeless. There are some items of clothing (if you can even call it such) that will never work, and some that are classics, that never go out of style. I've learned a lot from this book, and it makes for good bathroom reading. =) Amusing and enlightening, from beginning to end.

Nothing really new. It would be nice to have more to do examples, than not to do. However I finally learned what to do with my pear shape body.
