Product Reviews:
Almost every question in this book was on the Exam. ( hugheshenshaw2 )
One hundred seventy-seven students sent our company emails last year, 2007, saying this was the best book they had purchased to study for the national massage exam. They had ordered other books as well. This book remains our best seller year after year since 1994. It has practically all the questions given on the exam and there are some questions that do not have answers but you can find them is you use a search engine. We recommend this book especially if you have failed the exam once and then heard about this book.
  Massage National Exam
Do not waste your money on this publication. The cover states "Questions & Answers" but a lot of the answers state "RESEARCH FOR ANSWER", not to mention I personally found a couple incorrect answers myself. This book is unorganized, confusing and just plain junk. DO NOT BUY IT!

I was lucky enough to find a much better book called Plain & Simple Guide to Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork Certification by Laura Allen, which is beautifully written and includes a CD of practice questions.
  Good Book!!
I agree with the other people about this book having a bad grammar, but this book is a very helpful method. I have taken the National Exam twice and I have failed twice, not because of this book. It is because the National Board wants to get rich from the people taking the exam over and over again and by asking those people questions that are not associated with therapeutic massage. This book has a lot of questions and answers that appear in the exam, but those people from the National Board want the people to get all the answers right in order to pass, I believe. I score high in almost all the sections asked and I still failed. This book helps a lot, if it wans't for this book I wouldn't got closer to pass the exam.
  Good book
This is a very good study guide with all the questions needed to take the test to become a licened massage therapist.
  I didn't trust it
OK, the other reviews I saw were very favorable. When I got the book it was replete with typographical errors, misspellings and in a very quick review< I identified several questions that had _incorrect_ answers reported as correct answers. How many others that I just didn't spot? That and the author's directive to go out and research answers yourself - well, if I'm to do that, why on earth would I buy this book? I returned it, greatly disappointed. Henceforth, I'll stick to sources that can spell correctly when they publish technical works.
