Product Description
Every young person will need this book at some time in his or her life! A parent-child resource book, How to Handle Bullies, Teasers and Other Meanies covers *annoying name calling, *vicious prejudice, *explosive anger, *dangerous situations, and *causes of difficult behavior. It contains more than twelve ways for melting meanness. It uses dozens of examples and practice exercises to teach a comic approach to handling cruelty. It shows young people how to put spiritual truths in to action. It gives parents, teachers, and counselors a method to help young people help themselves with an approach that goes far beyond assertiveness in its mastery of meanness.

A Starting Point
These strategies are fine for some kids but do not always work. This is a good start but a more comprehensive book currently recommended by school superintendents is Bully-Proofing Children: A Practical, Hands-On Guide to Stop Bullying. An incredible book that has everything a parent or teacher can use to deal with bullies or victims- tips, strategies, scripts, lessons, stories to share with your children and more...highly recommended A+.

great book ( soaring2pink )
This is a great book that i purchased for my 8 year olf son after a really bad bullying incident at school. With the help of the book and roleplaying situations using the information in this book he is enjoying coming up with new ways to handle meanies.

Useful and simple
My 8 year old son spent about 40 minutes with this book and the next day he and his best friend were using the book's concepts to invent good resposes to insults. That's what I call practical.
