Very Helpful ( mbeitler )
This little book (only 3.5 by 5.5 inches) is very helpful. There are many practical tools, such as worksheets, checklists, tips, and ideas. This book is for practitioners, not academics.
I recommend it in addition to my own book.

Great Little Book with Big Ramifications ( schwanzj )
So far I have only had to keep the book close by in the event of an emergency situation I was not able to handle. Then when I checked later for how I would have been able to determine what was the best way to handle something, I ended up finding the answer quickly.
So I like this book for the security it gives me and my staff.

Useful but not quite what was expected ( runman_15220 )
The change management pocket guide provides some excellent forms for those already familiar with the process. Some forms are obscure and may be less useful. Rather than forms, dedicating some of the guide to step by step procedures would have been more useful. The guide would be highly useful to an HR specialist rather than an engineer trying to develop a method for evaluating how his workforce will be affected by a change.
Overall, this book will be useful.

A basic approach with adaptable tools for almost any situation
The "Change Management Pocket Guide" provides a straight forward approach to understanding how change effects people and organizations, then offers forms and techniques to mitigate the effects. The guide, in and of itself, is not the whole answer to managing organizational change. But, the form templates, time lines and prescriptive guidelines offer a good place to begin more specific plans. At the very least users of the guide will not re-invent the wheel, or worse spin their own wheels trying to get their minds wrapped around how to manage a situation.

Good Overview with Sample Forms ( bobp@dgginc.com )
This is a good overview in a pocket format for Change Management. The forms are useful, and can be translated pretty directly to implementations of change management. If you are looking for a practical outline for implementing change management, check this out. It is an outline, though. If you want details of the psychology behind it or illustrations of specific techniques, look elsewhere.
