Ayurvedic medical literature
excellent book well written. The subject matter is an excellent supplementto my western medical training

Good introductory book ( garg_1976 )
The book has good introductory level information on tongue diagnosis. Two things that I think were not so great: 1) there is tons of generic information and background on ayurveda that you can find in any book on ayurveda - I was a little disappointed to find that more than half of the book is about generic information on ayurveda, nothing to do with tongue diagnosis, 2) the illustrative pictures of tongue in the book are in black and white - pretty much useless especially when it asks you to see red spots etc on the tongue with a black and white illustrative example.
