 Helped but had many mistakes
I found the book to be helpful w/ good review and short quizes. The CD tests were also good practice-- a bit more specific than the actual test.
My big complaint w/ the book were the obvious and numbered mistakes on the quizes. Allen would give a letter answer w/ a mismatched answer. It made it very confusing and frustrating for me, having to look the answer up on my own.

Excellent book, really gives one an overview of what to expect in the field of Massage & Bodywork. This book helped me pass my NCE ! The CD gives a reasiltic idea of what type of Q's are on the Exam. I am very glad I invested in this. Would highly recommended to anyone in this field !

IF IT HAS COFFEE STAINS AFTER STUDENTS HAVE BORROWED AND REFUSED TO RETURN IT, IT'S A GREAT BOOK. BUY IT, USE, SLEEP ON IT. PRESIDENT, BROOKLYN INSTITUTE OF MASSAGE THERAPY ( BROOKLYN, NEW YORK USA : ).

 Very basic
For those of you looking for one or two comprehensive volumes to truly prepare you, think twice about this book. There are three chapters covered that you are not even tested on, all of which have tons of information. The emphasis of anatomy, physiology and kinesiology details is lacking in the book in comparison to the material covered in the test. I am not allowed to say what is on the test but i will tell you it is thorough and very detailed, medical terminology is essential and hardly covered in this book.
I'd seek a A&P text for a university if i were you, even audit a class if you can.
The practice exams provided on the CD-ROM barely followed the way the test is laid out outside of it being multiple choice.
I am keeping this book because i think it will make a good general reference/guide but is not one i'd recommend, especially if you are not fresh out of massage school.

I like the book it's simple and straight to the point with need to know information and just general knowledge of something. I like it and I hate reading and even studying
