Product Description
Responding to the extraordinary number of questions raised by recent cultural phenomena such as The Gospel of Judas and The Da Vinci Code, New York Times bestselling author Sylvia Browne brings readers the full story of the life of Jesus

New discoveries in archaeology and recent bestsellers and movies such as The Da Vinci Code and The Passion of the Christ have sparked a renaissance of the many controversies that have remained unanswered in Christianity and other religions. At the heart of these controversies is Jesus. With a unique perspective only Sylvia Browne could bring, The Mystical Life of Jesus is filled with the details of Jesus’ inspiring life.

Including his birth, childhood, travels, ministry, miracles, crucifixion, death, and resurrection, she addresses all of the major controversies:
• Was there a virgin birth?
• Was there a Star of Bethlehem?
• What did he do for the first thirty years of his life?
• Was he married?
• Was he divine?
• Was it a miracle at Cana (and who was getting married)?
• Is there a Jesus lineage?

Using her unique relationship with her spirit guide and her years studying the controversial Gnostic texts, Sylvia answers all of these questions with a confidence and authority only someone who has visited the afterlife can have.

Product Reviews:
Great Read - Keep an Open Mind
I've read quite a number of Sylvia's books now (some better than others) and this is my favourite book to date particularly as it gives viewpoints that challenge your beliefs and are quite liberating

I particularly like that Jesus spent much of his life in spiritual research taking the best of all religions and adopting those ways. How nice it was to hear he didn't just blindly accept specific teachings of individual religious sects. He used the excellent mind God gave us to go forth and investigate different spiritual Godly teachings and thought through their merits and embraced what he felt was spiritually correct and was also confirmed with God through his meditations and commmunion God. He also focussed on God's love for us; not on how to punish us.

If only we all could practice that ! The world would be a much better, calmer place and we all would be far more tolerant of religious differences. This is the message Sylvia is also trying to convey. We all can start doing this.

I found these messages alone liberating and thought provoking. I thank Sylvia for having the courage to publish these new ways of looking at things and challenging our beliefs and values so we actually think outside the square of these beliefs and values we were raised with and haven't questioned much.

For those that find the 'facts' in the bible that Sylvia contradicts, I found by keeping an open mind and adopting what made sense to me gave me much greater enjoyment in the book and the freedom to embrace the fundamental messages.

Sylvia has always confirmed Jesus's Divine connection with God and his role as God's messenger; she has not disputed the importance of his messages or of his miracles, or that his teachings in the bible are incorrect and that is what is important.

My view is this book is a great read; easy to understand and not made complex through scholarly language or ancient hidden meanings, which is the way such important information should be made available - in layman's terms.

  "Now it begins."
Truly could not put this book down all the questions I thought about since Catholic grammar school and the answers came though these writings of Sylvia and her guide, answers that confirmed my feelings. In the era my mother was from and the things she accomplished in her life time were unheard of even then makes me feel more compassion for Mary Magdalene being put down by the Church as most women had been then and even now. I am thankful to have read the teachings that have been presented in her writings and take from it what you will it is a blessing in my eyes
Required reading for the entire human race! ( thewitchescupboard_com )
This book should be required reading for the entire human race! Whether you are a Christian, a former Christian, or pretty much anyone curious about this man called Jesus, please read this book. Sylvia not only fills in the blanks on the years we are not told about, she clears up confusion about the ones we ARE told about. She delves into facts about the rewriting and editing of the bible, proof about Jesus' whereabouts before his ministry and so much more! Some of her info comes from her spirit guide Francince, but most of it comes from historical documents, and common sense.

For those who are afraid to read this book, and I know some people are, why be afraid? Sylvia does not question the basic faith, if anything (if you can read the book with an open mind) she strengthens one's faith potential. She does not try to tear down Christianity, the belief in Christ. All she is doing is trying to right some wrongs done to all of us when some people thought themselves fit to rape our scriptures and steal our history. Most of these things are not her opinions, ideas, etc. Much of this book (as I mentioned earlier) is based on facts readily available in historical texts.

You DO NOT NEED to defend the writers (mostly, if not entirely, unknown) and editors of the accepted (and incomplete) books of the bible in order to be a Christian. Christianity is about Christ and God, not about church leaders' political and financial advancements. Or at least it should be. Contrary to what appears to be a common belief, you CAN believe in Christ and God without believing the lies many churches have fed us over the years.

This book will inform you, and move you. Highly recommended!
  Easy to Read
I loved the book! Very easy to read, interesting facts-----you did not want to put it down. The book connected with me, made sense.
Sylvia Browne and her Fake Spirit Guide
I have nothing against Gnosticism, but she is rewriting the entire story of Jesus according to a make-believe person she talks to. You mean to tell me that God is sending messages only to this gluttoness cigarette smoking liar? And giving her all information of the world, making her into a goddess with her Church, and charging people $800 for psychic readings, and constantly laughed at on Montel Williams show? Ok I think I explained myself enough, and if that doesn't convince you, you DESERVE to be taken by this.
